Abstract
Objective:
This case report aims to highlight the chiropractic management of a 13-year-old boy suffering from daily cervicogenic headaches, alongside identified vertebral subluxations.
Clinical Features:
The patient, a 13-year-old male, presented with a primary complaint of persistent daily headaches that had lasted for several years. Notably, he reported no history of trauma or identifiable triggers for his headaches, nor had he sought any previous palliative treatments.
Intervention and Outcomes:
The patient underwent chiropractic care that included high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust adjustments targeting the cervical and thoracic spine. Over the course of eight visits in a two-month period, the patient experienced a complete resolution of his headaches.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates the significant reduction in headache symptoms in a pediatric patient following conservative chiropractic treatment. The findings suggest that chiropractic care may be a viable option for managing cervicogenic headaches in children.
