Objective
This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of chiropractic care in a patient suffering from low back pain and degenerative joint disease.
Clinical Features
A 59-year-old male presented with primary complaints of persistent low back pain.
Intervention and Outcome
A comprehensive treatment protocol was implemented, which included:
Spinal Adjustments
Proprioceptive Training
Postural Exercises
Seated Dynamic Exercises
The treatment utilized various chiropractic techniques to effectively address vertebral subluxations. Following the intervention, the patient demonstrated significant improvements in both subjective and objective measures. Notably, there was an increase in disc height across multiple spinal levels, along with enhanced autonomic function.
Conclusions
This case highlights the efficacy of a thorough and conservative chiropractic approach. The patient reported complete relief from low back pain, accompanied by increased disc height and improved autonomic function. Further research is warranted to explore the biomechanical effects of chiropractic care.
